This is no over-the- top, tongue-scraper IPA. Best described as a hybrid of East and West Coast IPAs, Something Wicked is brewed to be smooth, balanced, approachable and (despite the ABV) sessionable. Packed with Columbus, Galena, Amarillo and Mosaic Hops, this 'gateway' IPA is pleasantly balanced with a distinctive malty sweetness that lures you in and makes way to juicy, hop forward notes of apricot and stone fruit.

We start by stripping our water down to the bare essentials then rebuild it to match the mineral content of the water in Köln, Germany. Then add in tons of German Pilsner malts and spice it up with just a eine kleine menge of German Perle and Tettnang hops. Easy going, crisp and refreshing!
In honor of International Star Wars Day - May the Fourth - each year we'll release a BRAND NEW special limited release beer brewed in honor of the Holiday. For this 2016 first year's Special Release we'd like to introduce you to the "Centennial Falcon" West Coast Pale Ale! Big, danky, herbal aromas, notes of pine, peach, apricot and lemongrass balance with a flavors of English toffee, and a slightly nutty, biscuity finish. In 1850, A German Immigrant named Antone Miller arrived by Steamboat in a booming little Gold Rush town built at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. Here he set out to build the Union Brewery - which would quickly grow to be one of the largest, most prolific breweries in the Region. Sadly, ten years later a fire claimed the brewery beyond repair. Lucky for us his famous Steam-beer recipe didn't burn up with it! On a history binge at the city archives one afternoon, we stumbled upon this historic recipe and set out to brew it once again. With a bright, earthy flavor from Sacramento native Cluster hops and a slightly sweet, nutty character from roasted barley, we think you'll love this little trip through history!

It Gose Down Tonight
To Celly-Celebrate our 100th Batch we've brewed, we jumped way up outside the box and let our Head Brewer Rob flex his funky fresh creativity with this bad boy - our very first sour! This wheat beer is kettle soured with Lactobacillus, then gets down with some locally grown Meyer Lemons we've been preserving the last few months in sea salts harvested by Brewer Lauren, before finishing off with a touch of Indian Corriander. All of which gives this tart beauty a bright and refreshing citrus nose and finish. No slumpin' in the meantime, 'cuz "It Gose Down Tonight"!

Despite the Marzen Lagers you typically see in America this time of year, the traditional German Festbier is the brew you'll ACTUALLY see people pounding at Oktoberfest! So, true to our style, we went back to the old school recipe book and brewed up a truly authentic Festbier to celebrate this year! With water chemistry matched to the water table of Munich, and authentic German Pils, Vienna and Munich Malz and German Select Hops, we think its 'sehr gutes trinken'! Prost!
Governor Brown is talking about launching satellites again … while we’re just launching a beer that bears his name. This was a frugal batch that won't be around long enough to run for President three times, (or the Senate, Mayor of Oakland or anything else for that matter). The beer for those who “always smile and never frown,” Jerry’s got a smooth roasted malt flavor, with mild notes of caramel and chocolate on the nose and from the very first sip – and, like the man himself – not too bitter, but not too sweet either.
