Year Round Beers
This is no over-the- top, tongue-scraper IPA. Best described as a hybrid of East and West Coast IPAs, Something Wicked is brewed to be smooth, balanced, approachable and (despite the ABV) sessionable. Packed with Columbus, Galena, Amarillo and Mosaic Hops, this 'gateway' IPA is pleasantly balanced with a distinctive malty sweetness that lures you in and makes way to juicy, hop forward notes of apricot and stone fruit.

Anybody not living under a rock the last decade can’t deny that Social Media has revolutionized the way we communicate ... they give a platform to be heard, a voice to the otherwise voiceless. The revolution will not be televised ... but it will be Tweeted! As a nod to this, we bring you "#KÖLSCH" Köln-style Ale. We start by stripping our water down to the bare essentials then rebuild it to match the mineral content of the water in Köln, Germany. Then add in tons of German Pilsner malts and spice it up with just a eine kleine menge of German Perle and Tettnang hops. Easy going, crisp and refreshing!

CARPE NOCTEM is a black-as-night oatmeal coffee stout with roasted grain aroma and bold coffee character from coffee beans from East Sac’s famous “Chocolate Fish Coffee Roasters.” Chocolate and carafa malts and English Ale yeast present a slight sweetness and mild roastiness with earthy, nutty tones together with a creamy body from a generous dose of good ol’ fashioned oatmeal. In 1850, A German Immigrant named Antone Miller arrived by Steamboat in a booming little Gold Rush town built at the confluence of the American and Sacramento Rivers. Here he set out to build the Union Brewery - which would quickly grow to be one of the largest, most prolific breweries in the Region. Sadly, ten years later a fire claimed the brewery beyond repair. Lucky for us his famous Steam-beer recipe didn't burn up with it! On a history binge at the city archives one afternoon, we stumbled upon this historic recipe and set out to brew it once again. With a bright, earthy flavor from Sacramento native Cluster hops and a slightly sweet, nutty character from roasted barley, we think you'll love this little trip through history!

Revolutionaries Series Beers
Brewed in honor of the 13 Freedom Riders and the legion of other intrepid leaders of the Civil Rights Movement - those who risked life and limb to end segregation - "Freedom Ryder" Rye Pale Ale is the first beer in our "Revolutionaries Series" - each beer brewed in honor of history's social catalysts, those that bucked the status quo to make our community a better place to live. True to the priority Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. put on education, a portion of the proceeds from the sale of this beer will go toward a scholarship at Sacramento State for those studying to be educators in the inner city. This clean, crisp, yet bold Rye Pale Ale, is gently warmed with rye malt and sage with a little kick of cayenne pepper and black pepper. O.G. 1.052, 5.8% ABV, 42 IBU.

“Helles” is German for “bright,” and this beer salutes our brightest rays of hope in this sometimes dark world that go through 'Helles' to protect us: Our Firefighters - the 'First Responders' when we need them most. “First Responder” is probably our easiest drinking beer of all - exceptionally bright, clean, and crisp with a softness on the palate from the Dortmunder water chemistry. As part of our “Revolutionaries Series” Seasonal lineup, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this brew will go directly to the Sacramento Firefighters Burns Institute, an incredible local non-profit that supports these brave Men and Women in their time of need and the families who support them. 5.3% ABV, 22 IBU.

Building a City on the confluence of two rivers has always made Sacramento a hub of agriculture and natural beauty. In 1981 the Effie Yeaw Nature Center in Carmichael opened to the public with the mission of protecting and preserving riparian wildlife through conservation and educational programs for children of all ages. Brewed in support of their efforts, "Riparian" Red IPA is the latest addition to our "Revolutionaries Series" Seasonal Lineup, with a portion of proceeds going directly to them. With water chemistry built to match the American River where it flows past Effie Yeaw, this big, bold and citrusy Red IPA is packed with Ahtanum, Idaho 7 and Centennial hops – and backed up with a biscuity, fresh bready sweetness and a ruby red hue.

Named after the Founding Father of the Irish Freedom Movement and once President of the Irish Republic, Michael Collins (aka "the Big Fella"). “The Big Fella” is a traditional Dry Irish Stout on Nitro - and balances a mellow dark chocolate sweetness with an earthy, roasty character for a full-bodied stout Mr. Collins would be proud to call his own. As part of our "Revolutionaries Series," a portion of the proceeds from this beer will be donated to "GoGive2Live," a local non-profit group which works to help our Nation's Heroes and their families when they return home from duty in the Armed Forces, as they recover and transition to home and their communities.

To Celly-Celebrate our 100th Batch we've brewed, we jumped way up outside the box and let our Head Brewer Rob flex his funky fresh creativity with this bad boy - our very first sour! This wheat beer is kettle soured with Lactobacillus, then gets down with some locally grown Meyer Lemons we've been preserving the last few months in sea salts harvested by Brewer Lauren, before finishing off with a touch of Indian Corriander. All of which gives this tart beauty a bright and refreshing citrus nose and finish. No slumpin' in the meantime, 'cuz "It Gose Down Tonight"!

You'll want to bring your buds with you for some of this tastiness, first tapped Thursday, 4/20. To put it bluntly, this thing is some serious fire! A dank and resiny session IPA with 42.0 IBUs and dry-hopped with 42.0 pounds of Idaho 7 hops. This lower OG beer has all kinds of sticky icky aroma with a nice citrusy, nostril clearing note to it, and it won't leave you locked to the couch. Created at a joint sub-committee meeting, "Prop 64" won't be around forever - so find your favorite dealer and git some before the kegs are cached.

Despite the Marzen Lagers you typically see in America this time of year, the traditional German Festbier is the brew you'll ACTUALLY see people pounding at Oktoberfest! So, true to our style, we went back to the old school recipe book and brewed up a truly authentic Festbier to celebrate this year! With water chemistry matched to the water table of Munich, and authentic German Pils, Vienna and Munich Malz and German Select Hops, we think its 'sehr gutes trinken'! Prost!

Governor Brown is talking about launching satellites again … while we’re just launching a beer that bears his name. This was a frugal batch that won't be around long enough to run for President three times, (or the Senate, Mayor of Oakland or anything else for that matter). The beer for those who “always smile and never frown,” Jerry’s got a smooth roasted malt flavor, with mild notes of caramel and chocolate on the nose and from the very first sip – and, like the man himself – not too bitter, but not too sweet either. Elect to have one of these tasties and celebrate the outgoing Governor in style!

Just in time for the start of the Sacramento Kings 2017-18 Season, we bring you this proud little beast, "Purple Reign." We tip off with a traditional Bavarian Hefeweizen, then pack it with a few hundred pounds of locally grown, whole organic blackberries from Triple J Farms (ain't no extracts in our game!). Just enough fruit on the nose and up front at first sip with a velvety smooth body, without the syrupy sweetness of some blackberry beers. #KingsAllDay #ForeverPurple #SacramentoProud
